A very different experience to my first birth- the 3 day birthing marathon. This time it all happened so quick, contractions started 2am, hospital 5am and then home for afternoon tea!..
No intervention, just a bit of gas and air…& as there were no pools available we had him in the bath!. (A bit small and not ideal but better than a bed!)
The instrumental music helped – I listened to it throughout my entire labour and somehow knew when we were getting to the last 5 seconds in time to shout – music !! to Luke, even when I was 4 mins from the head arriving!… it was an anchor somehow!.. Alongside me, I had a nice picture of Luke and Josh on the side of the bath and the birthing affirmations written in my favourite colour on a piece of card!
Thanks again, without your help I’d most definitely have panicked!
