Positive C-Section Birth Story For Breech Baby

Planned C-Section for breech baby

I discovered my baby was breech (bottom down) at about 33 weeks. From then on, I tried everything I could do to turn the baby, from scrubbing floors, handstands in the pool, moxibustion, acupuncture, to even the having an External Cephalic Version (ECV), where the obstetrician attempts to manually turn the baby to change position to be head down. It didn’t work. Nothing was going to turn this baby!

In the end my best and safest option was a planned C-section, which although at first was a little disappointing, actually it was an amazing experience! So calm, relaxed and fun. We were giggling all the way through!

The hypnobirthing came in very useful for the ECV procedure in trying to turn the baby, and I found it helped for the C-section too. I used the breathing techniques and focused my mind on my comfortable and relaxing place, after about 10 minutes they handed me the most beautiful baby girl I could ever wish for!

And she breastfed from me immediately whilst in theatre.

Yes Hypnobirthing is SO effective! Read the many positive birth stories and experiences of BirthBalm couples that I have taught over the years since I first staring teaching Hypnobirthing in 2009.
